Thompson headed music conservatoires in Philadelphia, Indianapolis, and Kansas City, and brought to his published material a lifetime of experience in pedagogy, creating books which continue to inspire young learners and adults alike, more than half a century after the author's death.
New material continues to be added to the series which bears his name, now comprising an extensive selection of books covering all styles of music.
